Una serie fotográfica donde encuentras voces, rostros y espacios, de diferentes partes del mundo, en un insospechado viaje virtual.
La pandemia invadió al mundo, el coronavirus llegó a cada frontera; pero cada persona tiene su propio modo de llevar y sentir el coronavirus, de expresar sus adentros y sus afueras, en los diferentes rincones de la tierra.
Durante el coronavirus no se puede viajar de la forma “normal”, tampoco, abrazar a los amigos de la manera que estamos habituados, pero, es posible tener nuevas experiencias por medio de la tecnología; así, se me ocurrió recorrer un poquito el mundo y conocer nuevas personas. Claro no salí de casa, ni siquiera, salí de mi habitación, para poder llegar a otros países, a otros continentes.
Quizás, la calidad no es la mejor, así que las llamo tarjetas de visita como en un inicio Disderí llamó a los retratos hechos en estudio en un tamaño muy peculiar 54mm x 89mm; yo tomo el nombre de visita porque este viaje se convierte justo en eso, los tiempos cambian, los tiempos vuelven, no uso químicos, pero tengo limitaciones por la parte técnica.
A pesar de todo lo expuesto, sucedió algo grandioso … he podido conocer personas que me han revelado un poquito de sus universos, me permitieron pasar hacia el lugar especial de su casa. Algunas personas expresaron sus emociones encontradas. Muchas, coincidieron en que, durante el encierro, tuvieron más tiempo para sí mismos, para su pareja, u otros miembros importantes de su vida y lo agradecen. Hubo, además, un intenso sentimiento de extrañar el contacto físico, como un abrazo de mamá o saludar a la vecina en la puerta y de alguna manera atravesar un tiempo de tensión y calma.
Conocí en forma virtual a una viajera, vecina de Perú, y llegué a la lejana Indonesia, pasé por Alemania, Polonia, Argentina, Holanda, Dinamarca, Costa Rica, y en cada lugar, un ser humano haciéndole frete al coronavirus. Por último, he aplicado una particular manera de hacer fotos, que por esta ocasión no tuvo como finalidad la fotografía gigante, no era el punto.
Gracias a todas las personas que compatieron conmigo su tiempo y universo.

Pandemic invaded the whole world, but each person has the own way to live it and feel coronavirus, of expressing their inner and outer self, in the different corners of the planet.

During coronavirus it is not possible to travel in the “normal mood”, nor you can hug friends or family as we used to, but it is possible to have new experiences through technology. So, I thought I would travel around the world a little bit and meet new people. Of course, I didn’t leave my house, or even my room, to arrive other countries, other continents.

Maybe, quality is not the best one, so I call “visiting cards” as Disderí call his portraits which were maden in a studio, the pictures were madden in a very peculiar size 54mm x 89mm, I take this the name “visiting” because this travel becomes in a visit, time changes, time comes back, I do not use chemical, but I have limits because of technical part.

Despite all the above, something wonderful happened… I have met beautiful people who have revealed a little bit of their universes, allowed me to go to the special place of their home. They expressed their emotions. Many of them agreed that, during the confinement, they had more time for themselves, their partners, or their important members of their lives and they thank it. There was also an intense feeling of missing the physical contact, like a hug from mom, or greeting the neighbor at the door and somehow going through a time of tension and calm.

Virtually I met a traveler neighbor of Peru, I arrived to faraway Indonesia, I passed through Germany, Poland, Argentina, Netherlands, Denmark, Costa Rica, and each place, a human being living corona time. I applied a particular way of taking photos, which on this occasion was not the purpose of the giant photograph, it was not the point.
